Susan Kim joined the City of La Habra in November 2021 after working for the City of Anaheim for over 23 years, where she managed the city’s long-range planning, regional planning, housing policy, interagency and interdepartmental projects, specific plans, environmental review, and development within and surrounding the Disneyland Resort, Angel Stadium and Honda Center. Susan is a member of American Institute of Certified Planners, a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional with a Neighborhood Development Specialty, and a member of the Association of Environmental Professionals and the Urban Land Institute. Susan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from the University of Colorado and a Master’s Degree in Planning from the University of Southern California. Prior to working at Anaheim, Susan was an intern for the City of Commerce and the Boulder County Land Use Department. Before she committed to a career in planning, Susan was a Park Ranger for one summer and an Elementary School Teacher for five years. Susan enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with friends and family.
