The Recreation Department partners with Good Times Travel to provide many single-day and multi-day tours at reasonable prices. Register for tours in person or by phone at the Community Center, 101 W. La Habra Boulevard, 562-383-4200, or online (additional fees are incurred when registering online).

Single-day tours include visits to places of cultural, historical and sometimes technical/scientific significance. Locations have included the Mission Inn, Griffith Observatory, Palm Springs Wind Farms, Descanso Gardens, the Getty Center, and Edwards Air Force Base. Meals are often included at restaurants that include Philippe the Original, Lawry’s North Woods Inn, Clifton’s Cafeteria and the Tam O’Shanter Inn. In addition, tours include attending concerts at the Disney Concert Hall, as well as performances of Broadway plays. Full payment for single-day tours is required at the time of registration. Week day single-day tours depart from the La Bonita Park parking lot, 1440 W. Whittier Boulevard, and on weekends from Petco parking lot, 1201 W. Whittier Boulevard (across the street from La Bonita Park).
Multi-Day tours are offered to California’s Central Coast, Death Valley, Yosemite, Joshua Tree, San Diego, and San Francisco, as well as additional locations. We also offer extended national and international tours to locations that include the American southeast and southwest, Oregon, Alaska,and major East coast cities, as well as locations in Canada, England, and Italy. You can register for multi-day tours in person or by phone at the Community Center. Your initial payment at the time of registration will be a required deposit only; you will be billed for the remainder of the multi-day tour fees by Good Times Travel.
Extended Trips Travel Show
Travel shows are held occasionally to showcase multi-day tours. In addition to sharing information, travel shows include refreshments and raffles. There is no charge to attend these events.
