State Preschool (CSPP) Programs
We believe that each child should receive individual attention, encouragement, support and guidance. A variety of experiences for the development of the child's fullest potential are provided. This program has a strong commitment to the community. This involvement has been at the core of the development of many social service programs offered through this agency. Two sessions are offered for 3 1/2 hours each. Some full-day spaces are available for families who meet eligibility requirements. We strive to serve all children and constantly seek ways to accommodate the unique needs of children with disabilities.
This is a State funded program with priority given to children 3 years, 6 months to 4 years as of December 2nd of the program year.
Family income must be at or below the income guidelines approved for the current year by the State of California. The gross monthly income must be verified by a statement of earnings from the employer. When income is received as cash, the amount must be verified by a written statement from the employer.
Applications and centralized waiting list information are available by calling 714-Kid-Care, based on eligibility and openings.
We incorporate the High / Scope methodology which encompasses the program philosophy. Children are provided activities and experiences that are not only developmentally appropriate, but allow for individual choice. Children design their own daily plan of activities. We provide developmental, cultural, linguistic appropriateness to all of the preschool children enrolled in the program.
The morning session is served a nutritious breakfast and snack, and the afternoon session is served a nutritious lunch and snack.
As part of the requirement of our funding terms and our commitment to quality child care, we provide a regular parent involvement program. We require that each family complete 5 hours a month.
